I'ma touch the sky!Meh, I'm not feeling this one at all. Someone has done a mash-up of the Justice remix of MGMT's absolutely superb 'Electric Feel' and Kanye West's 'Touch the Sky' and to be blatantly honest it's one of the worst I've heard in a while. Don't get me wrong: I give it an A+ for effort simply because the two tunes are insanely heard to sync together but it's for the same reason that it's so mediocre. Thoughts?

While I don't know you, I would assess from your opinion of this track that hip-hop isn't your area of expertese.
I love hip-hop and I love electronic music. I don't necessarilly think the two coming together yields great results all of the time, nor does any mashup of multiple genres.
However, I believe this track is simply amazing. Mighty Mi & Steve1der is responsible for it. I think they did a tremendous job in completing a song that works on both levels of hip-hop and electronica.
MGMT's original version did not impress me. Justice's remix is great in supplying the beat, but the vocals from Electric Feel just do not complement the beat. Kanye West's (as well as Lupe Fiasco's) vocals and flow match the beat seamlessly.
I must say that it's been a while since a song really moved me the way this one did. I don't someone who does not like (or understand) hip-hop or electronica can fully appreciate this song.
